To produce pulley housing for the wing that allows the warping of the wing.
WHY MICRO METALSMITHS?
Micro Metalsmiths is capable of producing tight tolerance parts with minimal machining on the component which was performed at Micro Metalsmiths. The movement of the parts must be free and allow for the natural warping of the wing during flight.
The parts are manufactured in aluminum which makes them strong and light. The fact that these parts also fit inside an extrusion makes the dimensional performance critical.
Micro's Metalsmiths was able to produce parts to these exacting requirements at a fraction of the cost to die casting.
